What
else will I remember from Rome?
Little squares every where you wandered, with fountains, beautiful architecture, color.
And ice cream (gelato) shops. Everywhere. Favorites flavors: pistacchio and peach and strachellium (striated chocolate in vanilla, kind of like chocolate chip). Least favorite: banana (tasted artificial). Strawberry was good too.
Window gardens and icons
Italians drive the smallest little cars.
Stairs (and more stairs). Stairs on hills.
Fountains.
It seemed no time at all had passed before we were back on the Air One Airbus, staring at the logo, and watching the Alps from on high. Snowy cold Chicago lay ahead.
